Project Details
The Hempel Hotel became a breathtakingly stunning Five Star luxury hotel created by the acclaimed British Designer, Anouska Hempel, wife of the financier Mark Wineberg. It was originally however five terraced London houses, all with semi-basements. John Sisk & Son were the Main Contractors tasked with turning this into an award winning hotel. Room Below were contracted to construct the substructure works for a two storey basement over the entire footprint of the five properties.
A stone’s throw away from the centre of London, the end result is minimalist and truly awesome. An entirely new experience in boutique hotel living. This is where trendy locals mix with A list jetsetters in what the glitterazzi describe as the hottest part of town.
The hotel was a favourite of Victoria Beckham and of Michael Jackson, who reserved the entire hotel during a stay there in 2006.
